In 2004, Jerry and Suzy Harbort purchased Prairie Gardens Assisted Living — not as investors, but as people who believed senior care could be done differently. In 2010, they expanded the facility by adding 18 units, growing to serve even more families across Dane County.

In 2004, they expanded with 18 beautiful apartments and studio-style units. Twenty-five years later, Jerry and Suzy are still here every day — greeting residents at breakfast, knowing every name, making sure this place never feels like an institution.

This isn't a corporate chain. There's no distant owner making decisions from a spreadsheet. The Harborts live and breathe Prairie Gardens — and it shows in the home-cooked meals, the long-term staff, and residents who are genuinely happy.

Jerry and Suzy Harbort purchased Prairie Gardens in 2004 and have devoted their lives to helping seniors adjust to a new stage in life.
